As usual, we will have a packed day of celebrations with special surprises for the family.
This year, we will be piloting our new concept, Losar Fashion Show to select winners of the best dressed for men, women, little ones too!
We will also have A Talent show AND the “I AM TIBETAN” competition organised by the TCB in collaboration with Tibet Foundation as sponsors!
I am Tibetan – a competition to promote and preserve the unique language and culture of Tibet, in collaboration with Tibet Foundation
This is a competition for the children in the community. It came about from as a result of a generous donation from Tibet Foundation in recognition of the community’s efforts in preserving our language and culture. They have donated £600 and we have organised the competition to best achieve the objectives and further promote the preservation of our unique language and culture. The competition will be split into three categories, Speaking, Singing and Dranyen. Speaking and Singing will be sub-divided into one group for ages 8 and under and another for over 8s. Dranyen is open to all children. There will be a winner and two runners up in each part of the competition with prizes as follows;
Winner £50
Runner up 1 £30
Runner up 2 £20
These are the categories for ‘I and Tibetan Competition’;
Category 1: Speaking competition
Children will be divided into 2 bands based on age, 8 and below and over 8s. They will have 2 mins to talks to the audience about anything in TIBETAN.
Category 2: Singing
Children will be divided into 2 bands based on age, 8 and below and over 8s. They will have 2 mins to sing a Tibetan song.
Category 3: Dranyen competition
Children from all ages will have 2 mins to play a dranyen piece.
There will a panel of judges, INDEPENDENT judges.

Talent Show
This is open to all and you will have 2 mins to perform anything you want, in any language BUT it must entertain us!!! Oh and convince the judges that you a re worthy of winning. And more generous cash prizes up for grabs!
We will also have special appearances from up-and-coming superstars and lots of other fun activities so you do not want to miss out!!!
