Human Rights Day

December 10th marks the International Human Rights Day. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, adopted by the UN General Assembly on December 10th 1948, was the result of the experience of the second world war. It is considered a milestone document in the history of human rights.
On the day, Tibetans Uyghurs, Chinese, Mongolians and supporters will held vigil outside Chinese Embassy in Portland Place from 18:00 to 20:00. Free Tibet, Tibet Society, Students for a Free Tibet and Tibetan Community in Britain will be joint organisers along with Chinese and Uyghur communities.
