On Saturday, 10 March, join us for a rally to commemorate the 59th anniversary of the Tibetan National Uprising.

    Tibetans and supporters of Tibet will hold a rally outside Downing Street and then march to the Chinese Embassy. There we will hold a demonstration to call for an end to China’s occupation and human rights abuses in Tibet.

    The evening will end with a commemoration of Tibetan Uprising Day and other Tibetan cultural events at the Indian YMCA nearby. Doors open at 6:30pm.

    1pm: Rally at Downing Street (10 Downing St, Westminster, London SW1A 2AA, nearest tube station: Westminster)

    3:30pm: We will begin our march to the Chinese Embassy

    From around 5pm we will demonstrate at the Chinese Embassy (49 Portland Place. Nearest tube stations: Regent’s Park and Great Portland Street)

    6:30 – 9:30pm: Commemoration of Uprising Day and Tibetan cultural events (Mahatma Gandhi Hall, Indian YMCA, 41 Fitzroy Square, W1T 6AQ. Nearest tube stations: Warren Street, Great Portland Street and Goodge Street).
